Another Throwback Thursday is dedicated to our Flower Delivery Service Project. After a few weeks of planning during our meetings, coordinating with the Senior Care Facility The Deutsches Altenheim in West Roxbury, and finding local businesses who would donate flowers, we were ready. On Valentine's Day, members of our Rotary club picked up babies breath and carnations, cut stems, tied bows and created 200 beautiful bouquets. We hand delivered them to local seniors to share our love and care on a day that can be difficult for those who have lost their loved ones. We were able to listen to stories, say hello, and spread joy to 200 seniors living at Altenheim on February 29th 2020. Together, We Promote Peace |
